I founded The Real World PA in 2016. After working as a PA for several years for a senior executive I noticed there was a lack of support for PA’s who wished to undertake both personal and professional development.
Most of the training available was skills orientated like ‘minute taking’, ‘diary management’ etc. and, although these skills are important, I felt that more was needed to help PA’s, EA’s and admin support staff to reach their full potential, provide outstanding support to their Executives and Teams and feel more confident in their own abilities.
My journey began shortly after finishing education, when I was hired as a Christmas temp at the head office of a multi-million pound retail company. I found myself quickly working my way up to the role of PA to the Chief Operating Officer within 2 years. This was a big career leap for me and not without its challenges.
To overcome the difficulties I faced as a new, inexperienced PA I took ownership of both my personal and professional development, researching and learning new systems, tools and ways of thinking which I implemented into my work to become a better assistant.
The Real World PA was founded to become a platform for providing Real World advice, guidance and coaching to any PA’s, EA’s or admin support who are looking to enhance their current skills and become World Class assistants.
I will share my knowledge of different tools, systems and ways of thinking so that you too can improve your confidence and capabilities as an assistant.
